Forum One was among 60 organizations selected out of 225 nominated companies in the DC area. - Small Business of the Year. In 2003, Forum One Communications was awarded ‘Small Business of the Year’ by the Alexandria, Virginia Chamber of Commerce. Forum One Communications rose above the thousands of firms based in this large city. Criteria for this award covered all company aspects, from business mission, overall client and staff satisfaction, and profitability to Forum One Communications' impact on society and involvement in many communities.
- Alexandria Technology Achievement Award. In March 2005, Forum One Communications was one of four finalists for the Technology Achievement Award sponsored by the City of Alexandria and the Alexandria Chamber of Commerce. Forum One Communications was nominated for our online collaboration tool called ProjectSpaces. ProjectSpaces is an easy-to-use and powerful online service that enables groups of people to collaborate and communicate across geographical and organizational boundaries, which is extremely important for our firm's entire client base.
- Thoth and Silver Inkwell Awards from the Public Relations Society of America. In 2001, Forum One Communications was jointly awarded the Thoth Award from the National Capital Area chapter of the Public Relations Society of America, honoring excellence in public relations for interactive communications, web site and external communication on the Planet campaign. This campaign included web site and outreach tools to raise awareness about the crucial issues surrounding family planning and reproductive health. The team was also awarded the Silver Inkwell Award of Excellence for the reproductive health advocacy and issues ‘Planet’ campaign web sites, awarding ‘communication with vision’ (www.PlanetWire.org).
