Challenge
Help a dynamic, nationwide association and its 300+ partners to align online services and streamline content and technology that was spread across a number of different databases and Web sites.
Forum One Solution
Forum One Communications led NCLR senior staff through a process to define organizational priorities for its key audiences and to define its desired online brand. Then, Forum One Communications conducted a detailed baseline assessment of NCLR’s online efforts, an audience assessment using staff research and Web analytics, a business needs evaluation across NCLR program offices, and detailed online comparator research.
With analytics and a strategy in-hand, Forum One Communications developed a new information architecture and graphical design for NCLR’s public presence. Forum One implemented a new content management system for NCLR to enhance its work with its 300+ affiliate partners and its large network of policy advocates. The new site uses the relational database features of Forum One’s SyntaxCMS to manage site content across numerous topics, events types, affiliates and projects. The CMS is also being expanded to provide for NCLR staff an intranet to share and collaborate.
Forum One did an excellent job in assessing and understanding our needs to create an effective online presence for NCLR. NCLR benefited from their experience with nonprofits and other not for profits organizations. Forum One transformed our affiliate processes to an online community. They listened and focused on our unique needs and created an online presence that represented NCLR. Forum One Communications designed interfaces that were easy to navigate and intuitive to all of NCLR core audiences. We were very pleased with the results and received much accolades from our affiliates and other Web visitors.
